Most due date calculators hand you a single date and let you assume it’s a deadline. It isn’t — and we think you deserve to know that.
Our pregnancy due date calculator estimates your date using Naegele’s rule, the standard formula obstetric care has used for decades, and then puts it in honest context:
- Two methods — calculate from your last period or, if you know it, your conception date.
- Cycle-length aware — a longer or shorter average cycle nudges the estimate, because ovulation timing shifts with it.
- Current week and trimester — see where you are today, not just the finish line.
- Honest, not alarmist — we tell you plainly that only about 5% of babies are born on their exact due date, so you can treat the number as a planning target instead of a countdown.
This is a general estimate, not medical advice — always follow the dating your doctor or midwife gives you, which is often refined with an ultrasound. It’s completely normal for that date to differ slightly from this calculator.
Try it with your own dates, and if you write for an expecting-parents audience, the calculator is embeddable on your own site with one iframe.
