Plenty of heart rate zone calculators only ask for your age, run 220 − age, and slice the result into zones. That ignores a useful piece of information you already have: your resting heart rate.

Our heart rate zone calculator uses the Karvonen method, which factors in resting heart rate through Heart Rate Reserve (HRR) before building the five zones:
